How to Reference When Making Payments

EFTs / Bank Deposits

The Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) previously utilized revenue stamps for payments, but this method has been phased out. Payments can now be made via bank deposit, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), or on-site. We also have POS machines available at the cashiers for clients who prefer to pay by card.

It is crucial to ensure that you use the correct reference when making payments via EFT or bank deposit. With hundreds of payments being processed daily, improper referencing may prevent us from allocating your payment to your account.

Correct Reference:

• Always use your “CC” or “Company Registration Number” as the reference.
• For “online name reservations“, use the “NRA number” generated by the system.
• In the absence of an “NRA Number“, use a combination of your “Identity Number” and the “application form code” you are lodging, for example: “CC8-99123456789”.

After making a payment via EFT or bank deposit, please submit your proof of payment, along with your ID, within 24 hours to debtors@bipa.na.
